Natural Gas Transport, Handling and Storage 2012

Dubai, UAE , 26th of February 2012 (9:00) - 1st of March 2012 (17:00)

All signs point to the Middle East – predictions abound in a future where the region collectively will become the world’s largest LNG exporter.

Qatar, the LNG Exporter Extraordinaire has already led the way in exporting but significantly enough, has also become the poster child for economic success in the Middle East indicating a fiery future for the region.

For now, LNG demand still outstrips supply but with the Middle Eastern countries intending to increase gas extraction, the world is preparing for a shift in global supplies, with much of it to inevitably head for APAC. Indeed, the Middle East is also well-placed to supply LNG to India, OECD Europe, OECD Pacific, and even OECD North America.  However, with domestic energy shortages to contend with, the region is still endeavouring to tread the fine balance between providing for the local markets while not compromising its international trading ‘golden egg.’
Enter Natural Gas Transport, Handling and Storage Dubai 2012 where the aim of the forum will be to examine strategies for delivering the region’s most pressing needs, namely the 1) powering up of domestic markets, 2) inter-regional and inter-national exporting, 3) and the concurrent cost-reduction in transporting and handling the new ‘liquid gold’ using the latest technology to develop Economies of Scale.

Natural Gas Transport, Handling and Storage Dubai 2012 will deliver a holistic view of the key logistical aspects of shipping LNG so that we may arrive at the most cost-efficient strategies of handling, storing and distributing LNG in this region poised to be the next global LNG Hub.
