RPI – X Factor 2011 opens for entries
Utility and environmental consultancy Gemserv is looking for the best musical talent to enter RPI - X Factor 2011, the Utility sector’s annual charity battle of the bands competition. Shortlisted bands will perform in front of an audience of over 350 people at top London venue, Cargo. The overall winner on the night will walk away with the opportunity to propel their musical career to new heights, by creating a professional single with a free day at a recording studio.
To enter, bands need to have at least one member working within the Utility sector. Demos submitted to Gemserv will be placed on the RPI – X Factor microsite and be voted on by those working in the Utility industry. The eight highest scoring bands will form the final line up for the event on 22nd September.
Last year’s event raised over £9,000 for Gemserv’s nominated charities City Gateway and Tourettes Action. Those who think they’ve got what it takes can find out more via the microsite pages below:

David Thorne, CEO, Gemserv said: “It was brilliant to see the industry get behind this initiative when it launched in 2010 and this year promises to be even bigger and better. Our clients know us for providing serious advice and consultancy, so RPI - X Factor allows everyone to let their hair down and get together in a relaxed, informal setting and listen to some great music. Gemserv supports City Gateway through a number of initiatives including running workshops and offering internships to those within the project. Funds will also go towards supporting the work of Tourettes Action. So it’s great to be able to fundraise for these very worthwhile charities.”
