SBGI response to NFB Utilities Survey 2008

The National Federation of Builders (NFB) recently published 'Utilities Survey 2008', gained responses from their members procuring services from utilities across the gas, electricity and water sectors. The NFB membership consists of new housing developers, from the smallest to major national companies. The survey found that members were generally disappointed with the service level they received. As a result SBGI has initiated dialogue with NFB in order to understand in more detail the major concerns and problem areas, with a view to developing more proactive engagement between infrastructure providers and NFB members. SBGI Utility Networks has invited the NFB to address the Network Engineering Group early next year, which will be followed by SBGI participation in a working group with the NFB, with the aim of improving the utility infrastructure process. Further detail will be issued in due course.
