Driving Sustainability in the Water Industry

Water UK published two reports recently highlighting progress of water companies towards sustainability. The reports are part of a process to improve the way in which the industry measures, reviews and communicates performance towards delivering sustainable outcomes:
  • Sustainable Water: State of the Water Sector Report addresses whether the sector is becoming more sustainable
  • Sustainability Indicators 2007-08 is an annual report showing how the water industry is performing in a range of areas essential for sustainability. The report demonstrates the industry's commitment to continued high-quality provision of its essential services in a sustainable way, recognising and addressing the important role it has in areas related to the environment, communities and society in general.
