Building Regulations (Part G) workshops

A new edition of Part G (Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency) of the Building Regulations will be laid before Parliament in March 2009 and will come into force in October 2009.
WRc is offering one-day briefings to provide a detailed understanding of the changes to Part G in England and Wales. The workshops are being held in June/July to allow you to prepare for the changes and the opportunities that this new edition offers in terms of allowing new technology and benefits to householders.
The new edition will bring about significant changes to the design of hot and cold water supplies in buildings. It will support sustainability by: specifying applications where "non-wholesome" water might be used in buildings, such as the use of captured rainwater for toilet flushing; and introducing a water efficiency standard for new homes of no more than 125 litres per person per day when assessed using the specified water calculator.
Who should attend? The one-day workshops are for anyone involved in building control, building design and construction, product manufacture and installation of hot & cold water systems in buildings.
