Association of Meter Operators
The Association of Meter Operators (AMO) is a trade association representing Meter Operators and Meter Asset Managers. The AMO has two main aims; to provide a forum to exchange information and discuss technical, operational or regulatory matters relevant to members; and to represent members’ interests in relevant forums and consultations.There are regular meetings of members and occasional seminars for specific subjects. A regular bulletin is published which reports industry meetings and publications relevant to members. The AMO has direct representation at meetings and works in conjunction with related organisations to further the interests of members. The AMO has invested considerable effort in the smart metering debate in recent years, whilst continuing to improve the current processes to enhance safety and efficiency to benefit members, customers and the whole utility industry.The Consultant is responsible for representing the Association in external forums and for preparing reports on all relevant matters. The Consultant should be the first contact in normal circumstances for any enquiry.
