SmartGrid GB

SmartGrid GB is a not for profit, membership organisation for stakeholders involved in any aspect of the development or delivery of smart grid or of the associated technologies or services on which it will depend.  SmartGrid GB was launched by Charles Hendry MP, Minister of State for Climate Change on 23rd June 2011 and its members come from a variety of different backgrounds including the Utilities, ICT, automation and control sectors, from government, from the voluntary sectors, and from academia.

SmartGrid GB has been set up to provide an open, independent and inclusive forum for a wide range of concerned organisations to come together, share ideas and information and develop thinking on how smart grid can be achieved. The role of SmartGrid GB is to provide a network that supports and informs the decision making process.
